Henry Hemming is a writer and artist. In Search of the English Eccentric, his most recent book, is published by John Murray. It's out now in paperback, as is Misadventure in the Middle East, recently shortlisted for the Dolman Best Travel Book Award.

Henry is also the author of Edge of Arabia, an illustrated book on contemporary art in Saudi Arabia, and co-author of Off Screen, a visual account of his artistic journey through the Middle East. This has led to the award-winning Offscreen Education Programme (head here to watch Henry being interviewed on art and the Middle East). He's now working on a new book for John Murray.
